As well as designing and building web sites for our clients, we also offer a comprehensive design service. This includes designing company and product logos, creating themes for a company's image and a digital photography service.

Themes

A web site can often be the main contact point for a company's promotion. This means that it's essential to create a look that will identify and highlight the product or service in a positive light.

If you haven't got a logo we can provide plenty of fresh ideas for creating or updating your company logos. Probably because it is one of the most important promotional tools, it's not surprising that many companies spend a lot on getting this right. There is however, a limit to the amount that you need to spend on designing your logo. We try to provide good design that's clean and effective at competitive prices.
We work closely with our clients to provide the right design for their site as whole. A simple, no-nonsense approach to the layout of a site will help the user to navigate to the information required without feeling frustrated. A well designed site will hopefully keep the audience's attention, while also motivating them to find out more about the product or service on show.
Photography

We take professional quality photographs - at half the cost that most photographers will charge. We obviously do have our limitations; we only take digital images, and while these are extremely high in detail, they do not replace a full plate transparency taken by a studio photographer. However, they are suitable for all web applications and for most printed brochures.

We also specialise in preparing your own photographs for the web. We can clean up your images so that they look professional. These can be supplied to us as transparencies, photos, or in digital format.

All pictures, however, need 'optimising' for the web. This means we make the picture's file size small, so that it loads quickly, while keeping the picture quality high. The photographs shown here are both under 10k in file size, but still remain clear and sharp.




   
Flash


Macromedia Flash, has become popular on many web sites allowing sound, animation and dynamic visual content that could not easily be added using html alone. You may have already seen flash on the web, animated introduction pages and "Cool" animated logos, are often made using flash. Many have a "skip intro" option as flash needs time to load and flashing "Loading" graphics have become a Flash trademark.

Impatient users are often put off by flash which can stop visitors continuing any further into your site. For this reason we tend to use it sparingly. Large flash sites can also be slow and difficult to edit, and long loading times put many people off. However when used in moderation it can spice up static sites and allows us to add sound and complex visual effects to our sites which would not be possible any other way.

The introduction of Broadband and faster web connections will see more flash sites, but we believe that most web users will be connecting to the net with slower cheaper dial up connections. Used in moderation Flash can be a wonderful tool, but can also scare off potential visitors.
